I am Laura Susan Bourne, and as we've established, I am mother of the impeccable Sadie and a huge Morrissey fan.
I am married to Phil who I love beyond anything I ever thought possible (and possibly beyond sense!) We have been married for eighteen months now and together for four years. We met at work- he was a naive NQT at the school I taught at near Dagenham in East London.
I am now almost 29 years old, a teacher of English and lover of the written word and fine wine (although seldom together). I resisted the lure of the Kindle, but now I have one I'm mad for it.
My favourite song is probably Nowhere Fast by The Smiths (although is closely followed by Waterfall by The Stone Roses). My favourite book is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë, but I've got a soft spot for One Day by David Nicholls.
In my life so far I have had three significant relationships, seven significant pets, four significant houses and numerous significant friends. I have 17 qualifications (not counting GCSE Life Skills or AS Level General Studies) and my favourite fictional characters are Mr. Rochester from Jane Eyre and Mark Corrigan from Peep Show.
My favourite colour is red, I'm untidy and unrepentant, I can't stand Tories and I love cats. I am looking forward to seeing what happens next, although if it's anything like what has happened in the past some of it will be good, some bad and some just plain drunk.
